We have decided to do something different on Australia Day…
In collaboration with Fabio Fabbri from Guringai Yoga Shala Mona Vale, Sydney Art Space and Guringai Yoga Shala will be holding this special, gentle, immersive and reflective one day retreat.
Depending on weather, if it is fine we will start the day with a beautiful yoga practice on Mona Vale Headland from 7 – 9am. Note: If it is pouring with rain we will have the yoga practice at Guringai Yoga Shala.
“Yoga is the intimacy that you create within yourself and it is the special time you dedicate to your integration and growth. On this day, it can be experienced, as a re-connection and appreciation of the beauty of this Land we walk. We will do that through Yoga Practices as Asana, breath work and Meditation.”
We will then do a bush/beach walk/swim collecting natural flora along the way to take back to Sydney Art Space.
Following on from a light morning tea supplied by Fabio and Christine we will then immerse ourselves in a seeing/drawing workshop facilitated by Christine Simpson using the gathered flora from 10:30am – 1:30pm.
“Everyone can draw once they have opened their eyes to seeing. Seeing with your hands and heart becomes a wholistic journey into “what is” nourishing the soul and enabling a truely creative experience.”
We will celebrate this morning of beauty, wonder and quiet joy with a shared lunch at Sydney Art Space. We would ask that everyone brings a vegetarian, garlic free plate to share for lunchtime and whatever you would like to drink except alcohol. Tea and coffee will be provided.
Maximum 10 participants.
