Soapstone Carving: Inspired by the Sea

Be inspired by the luminous qualities of soapstone as you find your sea-treasure and release it from within. Soapstone is a very soft material and you will be carving with rifflers and sandpaper to develop your form. Come with images or basic drawings of what inspires you from the sea or from nature to begin your carving process.
Materials fee of $40 paid to the tutor on the day for your soapstone.
