Tutor: Michelle Perrett
1 day workshop
Sunday 13th October 2019
10:00am - 4:00pm
16 – Adult
Beginners to Intermediates

Using a paper armature to begin our hand-building process, we will then experience coiling and slab making techniques to create the foundations for our clay female torso. We will discuss and observe the large moving parts: the ribs, the pelvis, the column for the neck, and how these 3 dictators will then set the stage for the development of limbs, waists, buttocks and breasts. The final hour will be spent finishing the modelling so that you have a torso ready for drying and firing.

NOTE: Please bring a printed image of a ceramic female torso that inspires you.

All materials supplied including clay.

If you have any clay tools at home please bring them with you.
