Is it time to throw away some clothing but you worry it will end up in landfill? Learn how to upcycle unwanted clothing and scrap fabrics into a unique vessel and reduce your textile waste.  Tear, cut, twist, wrap and bind recycled fabrics into a tactile form using the ancient basketry technique of coiling. Come along for a relaxing day of weaving with Cherry Corr that reduces your wardrobe and helps the environment.

Materials Fee $10 per person payable to the tutor on the day.

Supplied Materials include a needle to take home, thread and extra fabrics

What to Bring

  • 2 pieces of clean unwanted clothing to cut up
  • Scrap fabric if you have any, if you don’t have any please don’t buy this!
  • Fabric scissors
  • 2 x clothes pegs
  • Lunch
