Stephanie Galloway Brown is a fine arts artist and portrait-painting tutor working mostly in the medium of oil, beeswax & encaustics. Stephanie has been selected as a finalist in several major Australian art awards including: Salon des Refusés (Archibald), Black Swan Portrait Award, Shirley Hannan National Portrait Award and the Mortimore Art Prize. She is a selected member & previous committee member of Portrait Artists Australia. 

Stephanie works mostly from commissions with many artworks hung in private collections around Australia, New Zealand, USA & UK and also completed an ambitious portrait project called the Face of Extraordinary: Volunteers and producing an accompanying book of the portraits and their stories.

Born & raised in New Zealand, Stephanie left to explore the world, immersing herself in local culture wherever she travelled. From the European art galleries and Turkish mosques, her journey eventually led her back to Australia where she settled in the Northern Beaches of Sydney. For many years she followed a commercial art & illustration career before focusing completely on fine arts & portraiture.
