Wendy was brought up in the UK and currently lives on the Northern Beaches.

She has a Diploma in Theatre Wardrobe from the Wimbeldon Art School where she learnt how to construct a variety of costumes for the stage.

Her sculptural practice began 20 years ago exploring ceramic forms. She then went on to study with Tom Bass. Her practice covers a range of media and she is always looking for ways to expand that practice.

Wendy was a finalist in the North Sydney Art Prize for 2015 and has exhibited with Harbour Sculpture for the past 3 years with her wire and twine animals. She was awarded the Belle Property Prize, Harbour Sculpture 2015, and The People’s Choice Award, at Sculpture in the Gardens 2014.

Wendy has been teaching sculpture at the Tom Bass Sculpture Studio School for 10 years. She has also taught at The Shed Sculpture Studio, Warriewood and at The Cootamundra Arts Centre.
