David Starr
David has facilitated retreats for adolescents and adults for 23 years fostering personal and spiritual growth. He is a Co-Director at the College of Complementary Medicine, Sydney, co-writing and teaching the counselling and communications module for MBM/Kin.
David has been a guest speaker/presenter in various educational forums including a keynote address to 700 students at Meriden, Year 7 theatrical presentations on ‘Being Different’, and delivered 25 presentations to Year 11 students on ‘Death and Dying’. David has written and lead ritualistic personal development explorations with Kindy: ‘Letting go’, Year4: ‘Being Special’ and Year 10: ‘Meditation’.
David has facilitated stress management days for psychologists working with autism, art therapy workshops and instructed meditiation.
As a visual artist David’s medium of choice is photography. He has been practicing in this field for the past 25 years, has had 8 solo exhibitions, and his work is held in over 60 private collections. His most recent solo show was held at Contact Sheet, St Leonards, 2015.
David is based in Australia and Europe.
