The most important thing that I am is a documentarian. I’ve spent my life recording all of my adventures (and there have been a few) with photographs. I’ve lived all over the world, and the most important possessions that were lovingly packed into tea chest after tea chest as I moved from country to country were my photographs (my cameras were way too precious to pack away…even for a week or so).
I’ve been teaching throughout my working life, and it’s as much of a passion for me as photography. I’m a proud member of the organising committee for TEDxSydney and have been part of the photography team since it’s inception. I am also a volunteer photographer for the Heartfelt Organisation. Heartfelt is a volunteer organisation of professional photographers from all over Australia dedicated to giving the gift of photographic memories to families that have experienced stillbirths, premature and ill infants and children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units of their local hospitals, as well as children with serious and terminal illnesses.
