Michelle Perrett

Michelle Perrett is a Northern Beaches visual artist working in the medium of ceramics and installation. Her current work explores plant species and aims to express their mystical qualities. She is interested in threatened species and researches native plants and ecosystems. Her nursing background has informed her interest in medicinal properties of plants, and previous bodies of work about hospitals, maternity and women’s histories. Michelle was awarded the Eramboo and NBC residency Award in 2018. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Masters of Fine Art (research) UNSW, CoFA and an Advanced Diploma in Ceramics, NB TAFE. Recent exhibitions include Craft NSW, Kerrie Lowe Gallery, Myer, Meroogal Women’s Art Prize and the North Sydney Art Prize.
